The material for the installtion are national flags of different countries. The colours and shapes are transformed and combined to construct new flags.

Maike Häusling (*1974) lives and works in Frankfurt/Main. She studied at HfG Offenbach/Main. In her works the artist deals with the symbolic nature of national flags and the annexation of public space.
